Origins
Nebula Genesis began with a simple, frustrating experience.
In 2024, the founder set out to buy a Maine Coon — and ran into a problem that shouldn't exist. Nothing in the pet industry could be independently checked. Health tests were screenshots. Vet relationships were word-of-mouth. Credentials existed, but confirming them meant trusting whoever was selling the story.
For someone who had spent nearly a decade in legal technology — building systems where evidence has to hold up under scrutiny — this wasn't just inconvenient. It was unacceptable.
"I kept asking a simple question — how do I know this is real? — and nobody had a good answer. So I built one."
What started as a tool to check pet records quickly evolved into something bigger: an infrastructure layer for lasting, checkable digital records.
Records that don't depend on a platform.
Records that stay with the asset — in this case, the pet.
Records that anyone can check, without needing an account or permission.
Nebula Genesis is built on the idea that critical records shouldn't disappear, degrade, or rely on trust. They're designed to persist — independently.
Pet health records were the starting point. Not because they're easy, but because they matter — and because the infrastructure to support them didn't exist.
